Applies to: kanbaroo.co.uk and kanbaroo.app

This Cookie Policy explains how Kanbaroo ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies across our websites kanbaroo.co.uk and kanbaroo.app. We keep cookie usage to an absolute minimum and never use them for tracking or advertising purposes.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function properly, improve performance, or remember user preferences. Kanbaroo uses only essential cookies required for basic site operation.

2. How Kanbaroo Uses Cookies

We use cookies only when necessary to provide a smooth and secure experience. These may include:

• Preference Cookies: Used to remember settings such as dark mode, language, or layout preferences.
• Functional Cookies: Used to maintain basic app functionality, such as offline caching or remembering the last opened board.

We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking purposes.

3. Cookies on Kanbaroo.app

The Kanbaroo App operates primarily offline. When installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA), it may store local data in your browser’s cache or local storage to allow offline access and faster loading. This data never leaves your device and is not considered a tracking mechanism.

4. Cookies on Kanbaroo.co.uk

The informational site (kanbaroo.co.uk) uses only minimal cookies, if any, to remember visual or accessibility preferences. No analytics or marketing scripts are embedded.

5. Managing Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control or delete cookies through their settings. You can typically:

• Block or delete cookies from specific sites;
• Clear cached site data manually;
• Set the browser to notify you when a cookie is being placed.

Blocking essential cookies may affect the functionality of certain features, but Kanbaroo will still operate offline without requiring cookies for basic use.

6. Third-Party Cookies

Kanbaroo does not use or load any third-party cookies. External links provided in our documentation or support pages may direct you to other websites that have their own cookie policies, for which we are not responsible.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy occasionally to reflect changes in technology or legal requirements. Updates will be published on both kanbaroo.co.uk and kanbaroo.app with an updated “Last Updated” date.
